Shipping policy
Thank you for visiting and shopping at Modern4WD. The following information constitutes our Shipping Policy.
Order Processing
Orders are generally processed within 2 to 3 business days after receipt and confirmation of your order.
Processing time does not include carrier transit time.
We will attempt to contact you if there is an extended delay, backorder, inventory issue, address issue, payment issue, freight requirement, shipping restriction, or other condition that may affect shipment.
Custom products, specialty items, made-to-order products, and manufacturer-direct items may require additional processing or production time depending on the manufacturer’s schedule, warehouse location, and availability.
Continental U.S. Shipping Only
Modern4WD currently ships only to the continental United States.
We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international addresses.
Orders placed with a shipping address outside the continental United States may be canceled and refunded according to our payment processor’s standard processing timelines.
Flat-Rate Shipping
Modern4WD charges a flat-rate shipping fee of $9.99 on eligible standard shipments within the continental United States unless a different shipping charge is shown at checkout or quoted after order review.
Modern4WD does not offer free shipping as a standard policy.
The $9.99 flat-rate shipping charge does not apply to every product, order, destination, or shipment type.
Additional shipping charges may apply for oversized items, overweight items, freight shipments, multiple-box shipments, extended-area destinations, remote delivery areas, residential freight delivery, liftgate service, limited-access delivery, special handling, address corrections, or other carrier-imposed charges.
If additional shipping charges are required after an order is placed, we will attempt to contact you before shipment. Your order may be held until you approve the updated shipping charge.
If you do not approve the updated shipping charge, Modern4WD may cancel the affected item or order and issue a refund according to our payment processor’s standard processing timelines.
Destination-Based Shipping Charges
Some continental U.S. destinations may require additional shipping charges due to carrier zone, distance, package size, package weight, dimensional weight, freight requirements, residential delivery, limited-access delivery, remote delivery area, or other carrier-imposed costs.
Modern4WD reserves the right to recalculate shipping charges before fulfillment if the shipping amount shown at checkout does not reflect the actual cost or requirements of the shipment.
If additional destination-based shipping charges are required, we will attempt to contact you before shipment. Your order may be held until you approve the updated shipping charge.
If you do not approve the updated shipping charge, Modern4WD may cancel the affected item or order and issue a refund according to our payment processor’s standard processing timelines.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are based on available carrier rates, product weight, product dimensions, shipping destination, shipment type, warehouse location, and any applicable carrier, freight, oversize, residential, liftgate, remote-area, or handling charges.
Some online shipping quotes may not be final and may need to be recalculated manually. This most commonly occurs with oversized items, freight shipments, multi-box orders, remote delivery areas, limited-access addresses, extended-area destinations, or other locations requiring special carrier handling.
If additional shipping charges or changes to your shipping total are required, we will attempt to contact you. Your order may be held until you approve the updated shipping charge.
If you do not approve the updated shipping charge, Modern4WD may cancel the affected item or order and issue a refund according to our payment processor’s standard processing timelines.
Shipping Charges and Returns
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for customer-choice returns.
Customer-choice returns include, but are not limited to:
* Ordering the wrong part
* Changing your mind
* No longer needing the item
* Failing to verify vehicle fitment
* Ordering an item that does not meet your preference
* Refusing delivery without authorization
* Providing an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable shipping address
For eligible customer-choice returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Return shipping costs are not refundable.
Original shipping charges may be refunded if the return is due to:
* A Modern4WD error
* Shipment of an incorrect item
* A confirmed defective item
* An approved shipping damage claim
* An order cancellation before shipment
* An order that Modern4WD cannot fulfill or ship
If a return is approved, any applicable return shipping charges, restocking fees, refused delivery fees, freight fees, storage fees, redelivery fees, or other allowed charges may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law and stated in our Return / Refund Policy.
Multiple Shipments
Some orders may ship from multiple warehouses, distributors, manufacturers, or fulfillment locations.
Items from the same order may arrive in separate boxes, on different days, or through different carriers.
If an order ships in multiple packages, you may receive more than one tracking number.
Shipping charges are based on the order, product type, shipment requirements, and destination. If an order requires multiple shipments, Modern4WD may determine the most practical shipping method available.
Shipping Methods
For most domestic orders within the continental United States, we may ship using UPS, FedEx, USPS, or another carrier selected at our discretion.
Transit times are estimates only and may vary based on the carrier, warehouse location, destination, weather, holidays, service disruptions, freight requirements, or other circumstances outside our control.
“3-Day,” “2-Day,” “Next Day,” or similar expedited shipping methods refer to carrier transit time after the order has been processed, picked, packed, and transferred to the shipping carrier.
Expedited shipping does not eliminate order processing time.
Delivery delays can occur.
Freight, Oversized, and Special Handling Shipments
Some products are oversized, overweight, or require freight or common carrier transportation.
Freight shipments may require a delivery appointment. The carrier or delivery agent may contact you to schedule delivery.
You are responsible for being available at the scheduled delivery time.
If you are not available at the scheduled delivery time, you may be charged a redelivery fee, storage fee, missed appointment fee, or other carrier-imposed charge.
Additional fees may apply for residential delivery, liftgate service, limited-access delivery, address corrections, storage, reconsignment, refused delivery, or other special handling requirements.
Truck freight and oversized items may be limited to certain delivery areas and may not be available for all addresses.
Shipment Confirmation and Tracking
You will receive a shipment confirmation email once your order has shipped, when tracking information is available.
Tracking numbers are usually active within 24 to 48 hours after shipment confirmation, depending on the carrier.
Some orders may ship in multiple packages and may have more than one tracking number.
Delivery Responsibility
All orders are shipped FOB Origin unless otherwise stated.
Once the shipment is transferred to the carrier, responsibility for goods in transit transfers to the customer to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Modern4WD will make reasonable efforts to assist with tracking, carrier communication, and shipment issue documentation. However, carrier delays, lost shipments, damage in transit, missed delivery appointments, and delivery exceptions are subject to the carrier’s policies and claim procedures.
Incorrect, Incomplete, or Undeliverable Addresses
You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at the time of order.
Modern4WD is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, lost shipments, additional shipping charges, address correction fees, return shipping charges, or carrier fees caused by incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable address information provided by the customer.
If an order is returned due to an address issue, refused delivery, failed delivery attempt, or customer non-response, additional shipping charges, return shipping charges, restocking fees, storage fees, or other applicable charges may apply.
Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Shipments
Please inspect your shipment promptly upon delivery.
If your order arrives damaged, missing items, or contains the wrong item, contact Modern4WD as soon as possible.
You may be required to provide photos of the product, packaging, shipping box, shipping label, packing materials, damage, part numbers, and any other information needed to evaluate the issue or support a carrier, distributor, supplier, or manufacturer claim.
You must retain the product, original packaging, shipping box, labels, packing materials, and included components until the issue is resolved.
Do not install, modify, use, discard, or return a damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or disputed product unless Modern4WD instructs you to do so.
Failure to retain packaging or provide requested documentation may limit or prevent claim approval, replacement, refund, or other resolution.
Lost Shipments
If tracking shows that a shipment has not been delivered or appears to be lost in transit, contact Modern4WD.
We may assist with carrier communication and claim documentation where available.
Carrier investigations and claim decisions may take time and are subject to the carrier’s procedures.
Modern4WD may require completion of the carrier investigation before issuing a replacement, refund, or other resolution.
Refused Deliveries
Do not refuse delivery unless Modern4WD instructs you to do so.
Refused shipments may result in return shipping charges, freight charges, storage fees, redelivery fees, restocking fees, or other carrier or handling charges.
If a shipment is refused without authorization, any applicable charges may be deducted from a refund or billed to the customer.
Original shipping charges are not refundable for unauthorized refused deliveries.
Shipping Restrictions
Some products may be restricted from shipping to certain locations due to size, weight, manufacturer restrictions, distributor restrictions, carrier limits, emissions regulations, legal requirements, or other limitations.
Modern4WD reserves the right to cancel or modify an order if the product cannot be shipped to the address provided.
If we cancel an order after payment has been captured, we will issue a refund for the canceled item or order according to our payment processor’s standard processing timelines.
Shipping Promotions
Modern4WD does not offer free shipping as a standard policy.
If Modern4WD offers a temporary shipping promotion, the promotion will apply only as expressly stated.
Promotions may be limited by location, carrier, product type, order value, item size, item weight, freight requirements, destination, or other restrictions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, any shipping promotion excludes freight, oversized items, special handling charges, extended-area destinations, remote delivery areas, limited-access delivery, Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses, U.S. territories, international addresses, and locations outside the continental United States.
